Washington County has appointed David A. Mason, P.E., as the new director of its Division of Environmental Management, placing a longtime county employee in charge of a department that oversees services tied to water, wastewater and environmental infrastructure.
The Board of County Commissioners announced the appointment Sept. 16. County officials said Mason brings more than two decades of experience with Washington County Government and extensive technical experience to the role.
