Swatara Township police charged a 21-year-old Harrisburg man after a shooting outside a Petco in Dauphin County sent one person to the hospital.

Police said emergency crews responded Thursday shortly after noon to the 4600 block of High Pointe Boulevard. The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition, and the Petco was placed on lockdown during the response, according to WGAL.

Investigators identified Kyree Spence as the suspect and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Police said Spence was arraigned and later released after posting $50,000 bail.

Authorities described the shooting as an isolated incident. The public reporting did not provide a detailed account of what led to the confrontation or identify the victim.

The charge is an allegation, and Spence is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. The case will proceed through the Dauphin County court system, where prosecutors must establish the facts supporting the charge.

The American Desk will update this report if police or court records provide significant new information about the case.
